• President Lief (JCP-VT) and Vice President Bacon King (JCP-LA) were re-elected to a second term in the October 2009 Presidential Election. They defeated as PiT (PCP-LA)/Smid (PCP-VT), Franzl (DA-IL)/Swedish Cheese (DA-WI), and Al (LNF-WV)/Lewis Trondheim (LNF-OK).

• Elected or re-elected in the August 2009 Senate Election were RowanBrandon, Marokai Blue, Fritz, Franzl and afleitch.

• The July 2009 Special Senate Election was held for the seat left open from Bacon King's becoming Vice President. DownWithTheLeft (RPP-AL) and Catmusic (JCP-IN) were defeated by Fritz (JCP-MN).

• Lief won the heavily contested June 2009 Presidential Election, which concluded on June 21st and had the highest turn-out since October 2005. PiT initially appeared to have narrowly won, but SoFA EarlAW determined that invalid votes for PiT resulted in a Lief victory. The results were challenged in court by PiT, but the Supreme Court determined Earl's certification was valid and Lief took office on July 3, albeit approximately 11 hours late due to the ongoing court case.
