I have a feeling the AU will get a big, plush envelope of cash for Jammeh when the day of the inauguration arrives. He's a third world dictator-it's easier to buy off one of them than it is to purchase car insurance for God's sake.
West African ECOWAS is leading the attempt to get Jammeh out with Nigerian president Buhari as designated mediator. The AU isn't involved. Nigeria and Senegal want him out (he has supported a rebellion in southern Senegal), and Buhari taking on that task means the Nigerians mean business.
