Eliminations:

10 Hamburg
6 Baden-Württemberg

4 Brandenburg
4 Niedersachsen
3 Thüringen
1 Nordrhein-Westfalen

Hamburg and Baden-Württemberg are eliminated.

Saves:

3 Bayern
2 Sachsen
2 Niedersachsen
1 Thüringen

Bayern is saved until the end of round 6.

Round 5:

Vote to eliminate two states by voting 2-1

2 Niedersachsen
1 Nordrhein-Westfalen

(Went over to using the German names; easier for me, and the majority seems to use them, so it's no problem, I guess)

The anti-Ossie bias in this thread is disturbing.

Huh? There is no Low German bias.

You are the one protecting Niedersachsen.. (it doesn't get more Platt than that)

Hamburg and Baden-Württemberg are eliminated.

Feels strange to have my favourite eliminated this early. Wonder why people dislike it?

Okay. Well, southern Germany is the good part of Germany, besides both Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt (with Wittenberg - my Luthern soul is deeply offended) and Baden-W. are already out. If there is one, it isn't strong enough. Wink

IMO, BaWü's landscape is basically just a mixture between Rheinland-Pfalz and Bayern... You get better mountains than the Schwarzwald, the Mosel and Main valleys are nicer than the Baden-wine areas, Neuschwanstein beats Hohenzollern, and Swabia isn't that extremely beautiful, not much different from Franconia... Plus, I really dislike the Stuttgart-type of people (then again, Hessen should be out already, too; but it's more important to get Niedersachsen and the state with Dortmund out first), and Swabian dialect is just as bad as Saxon or Plattdeutsch

Southern Germany is obviously the better part, you're right with that, though.

Anyway:

Eliminations:

6 Niedersachsen
4 Nordrhein-Westfalen

3 Thüringen
2 Berlin

Niedersachsen and Nordrhein-Westfalen are eliminated (good, good)

Round 6:

Vote to eliminate 2 states by voting 2-1 (Bavaria still safe for this round; next time we'll already have our semifinal!)

2 Hessen
1 Brandenburg

I would put it differently and say that Baden-W. combines all the best features of Germany in one land.

6 Berlin
5 Hessen

3 Thüringen
1 Brandenburg

Berlin and Hessen are eliminated

Round 7:

Vote to eliminate two of the following states:

Bayern
Brandenburg
Rheinland-Pfalz
Thüringen

x Brandenburg
x Thüringen

Funnily, we have two Western and two Eastern states left.

Brandenburg and Thüringen are eliminated.

That leaves Rheinland-Pfalz and Bayern for our grand finale.

I seriously doubt that.
