O'Malley is making an announcement (presumably about whether he's running for prez) in Baltimore on Saturday (at 10am), then will fly to Iowa that same day, and then to New Hampshire on Sunday:

Gee, I wonder what he's going to announce.

How he is going to say that he doesn't want to run and he is endorsing a coconut instead of two families running the country.

Meanwhile, his supporters have set up a new super PAC:

I don't even see why he is running, the last few polls have him at 0% ZERO, even Santorum has some support! I know he wants to be the liberal alternative to Clinton, but I see him doing terribly

There's literally no one else to fill the 'supposedly competent former governor' opposition role to Hillary. And aside from Sanders, who isn't even a registered democrat, he is the only potential candidate aside from Joe Biden and Bill DeBlasio, who are unlikely to run, that has actually held a political office within the last year.

The liberal alternative in Sanders, the "good" candidate is Hillary, the electable candidate is Vermin Supreme. He has no leg to stand on, and even if he did Vermin Supreme would wear his boot for a hat.

Interesting, to use the word loosely. I would have bet money that this would be one of those lame "I'm announcing that I will announce in July" things—that or an exploratory committee.

O'Malley is absolutely nailing his announcement speech. Lots of red meat for the left, lots of talk on issues that does not get noticed (suburban heroin addiction), and its a lot less forced than his convention speeches.

It reminds me of a lot of Dean 2004.

I am looking forward to his candidacy.

As there are always alternatives to Clinton.

His speech was surprisingly good - it's just a shame that not many people are watching it.

Eh, he's not going too far, in my estimation.

Wow, going out on a limb there? Tongue
