I grew up (at least ages 1-5) around Olympia, somewhat close to Seattle. It's always had a place in my heart. Plus I imagine my politics are more Seattleite than Philadelphian.

Seattle, although Philly seems like a cool city.

Philadelphia is cool but this is no contest, Seattle by a mile.

It's easier to travel, better weather, better economy, more educated, safer, Socialist Alternative is a major party.

Seattle does usually get some snow every winter.. not much but usually falling snow several times and accumulating snow at least 1 or 2 times.  Obviously this varies.  Some years see almost nothing while others will see 5 accumulating snows.

What you wouldn't see are the 1-2 foot dumps you get in Philly.  But even then in 1949/50, Seattle got feet of snow and weeks of sub freezing weather.  You just need the unusual combo of a very deep western trough that allows Arctic air to come in from the northeast and enough moisture from an onshore flow to dump the snow.

Barring that you can drive an hour or two to the Cascades where they literally get 500-800" of snow every winter.

Ofc Seattle will win, but I'd still choose Philadelphia just because um because. Also the Northeast is a great place to live and I fit more closely here.

I've actually never been to Seattle.  I came in my years there to really love Philly, though.

Seattle is probably the better city to live in, but it's so far away from other great cities. So Philly, because it's also pretty close to NYC and DC.
