They've been protesting at school recently, so maybe I'll ask them. Actually, now that I think about it, no.

I have seen them with a sign that says "Bernie Sanders: socialist or British plot?" I think referencing his brother who ran for MP. So, probably not him. Also definitely neither Clinton nor Bush.

Their beliefs always confound me. Are they left wing, right wing, or simply a cult?

Left-leaning mercantilism with a nostalgic bent for New Deal-style politics probably is the most accurate description of their views.

Excellent question.  In 2004 I got a phone call from a Larouche supporter asking me for a contribution.  For at least an hour she talked about their beliefs.  Some of what I remember: Franklin Roosevelt was good.  Harry Truman was a monster.  They opposed the dropping of atomic bombs on Japan.  They hated Walter Mondale, and were happy Reagan beat him.  They hated Dick Cheney.  Ambivalent about John Kerry.  Hated the U.S.S.R. and communism.  Knew the Queen of England was part of a drug conspiracy.  Something about "monkey people".  Hated hippies and pacifists.  And on and on and on about how world events are tied together and controlled by malevolent forces.  It borders on insanity in my view!
