for 8: I thought you ment margin rather than total. I think he won by a bigger margin in RI (where Anderson did well) than in WV (where he didn't).
11: I missed the "Democratic" part. Though those two are the only Republicans who didn't win it at least once.
Though I'm curious who didn't--Wilson did in 1912, FDR won it every time, Truman won it in '48, Kennedy won it in '60, Johnson in '64, Carter in '76, and Clinton won it both times. In fact, Wilson is the only 20th century Democratic president to lose WV even once, in 1916. Or am i missing someone?
