Has McCain Lost His Mind?

I don't get this.  When you get endorsed by someone, you compliment them greatly (even if it's a bit ridiculous).  What was McCain supposed to say, "A great guy, who happens to be a little light in the loafers!"

I don't know, this does sound pretty out there. It's not going to hurt him itself, but if McCain says too many ridiculous things, someone (whether Romney in the primary or Clinton in the general, neither of whom is above it) will accuse him of being on the verge of senility.
