There's a certain voting bloc that Walter epitomizes, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Latte liberal?  No.  Blue Dog?  No.  Clintonian New Democrat?  Perhaps more so than the other two, but no.

Then again, you're rarely going to find a Democrat who supports the partial privatization of Social Security, so maybe he's of his own breed.

WalterMitty's views are definitely quite interesting. He seems to be close to Scoop Jackson on foreign policy issues, Woodrow Wilson on economic issues and Hillary Clinton on social issues.

Your right actually, as  WalterMitty's ideology is pretty much closest to neoconservatives. As recently as the 1970's, WalterMitty could have been characterized as a Rockefeller Republican as well.
