The way things are going, I would not be surprised for the Senate to expel Moore and just have Alabama do this whole thing over again. It's a zero-risk move for the GOP: they get to keep the Senate seat and they don't have to have a pedophile in their ranks.

Other senators joining the chorus for Moore to step aside if the accusations are true.  Toomey, Perdue, Lee, Cornyn, Flake (who already opposed him).

I’m calling fake news on this story,IF this were true then why didn’t these women come out and reveal this back in 2000 or 2012 or before the primary during the runoff oh right because it’s fake news!

Did you even read the article?

He did not.
Yes I read the article I’m not understanding why they (WAITED) 40 years to reveal this that’s why it seems like BS fake news.

I'm glad we've got posters telling women when they and when can't they talk about sexual assault.

Decertifying Moore and running a Strange write in campaign seems like the path forward for the GOP.

Gov. Ivey declines to endorse Moore (this was yesterday, so today's reports were not a factor): http://www.alreporter.com/2017/11/09/ivey-declines-endorse-moore/

I have to imagine this could be their move.

It's their only way forward, but it's also their worst way forward. Vote-splitting will kill their chances once and for all.

This would be a mess because if Moore withdraws, gets "replaced", and Moore gets the most votes, would it be legal for the replacement to take the seat? There's no way of knowing voter intent because they technically voted for Moore, not the replacement.

The idea about letting Moore win then expelling him immediately seems smarter from a political perspective.

I mean, what reason does Roy Moore have to lie about raping a teenager?

Things just keep getting worse for the GOP.  This perv needs to drop out of the race.

If the state GOP does decertify Moore and runs a write-in Strange campaign, does Strange win?

So, does Jones win if Moore is decertified? I imagine there'd be a less-than-insignificant share of AL voters who'd insist on voting for Moore anyway, as a big "f[inks]k you" to the spineless RINO establishment or whatever. I mean, just look at Martha Roby's election results in 2014 and 2016 after she withdrew her endorsement of Trump last October.
