I said this yesterday and I was called insane for even suggesting it - they're promoting this marriage, in our face, whether we like it or not. You're getting your strawmen a little confused. SSM is the law in 37 states and more than half the country - this IS the reality for most Americans. Marriage in a secular (sorry 'bout it) country is a legal and civil construct. For people who are afraid of it, that's your call, but you're only smaller and sadder people for it. Again, don't like gay marriage, don't get one.
