I understand why Antonio saw similarities between the guy and me, but the differences are important too. I didn't know this guy, but from the German Wiki it becomes clear that he was actually an antisemite himself. He definitely wasn't part of any Jewish community, and likely didn't even self-identify as Jewish. His Jewishness certainly didn't influence his politics one bit. This matters, not just in itself (as it is a pretty major difference) but also because I strongly doubt someone with the same background and my level of Jewish involvement and observance would have gotten away as easily.
That's fair. I didn't know that about him when I made the thread, to be clear.
