Ya. If we're talking good Presidents, Wilson & Nixon should be out, & Truman & TR would be welcome additions.



truman? the war-criminal ?
That's debatable. Truman was the first president since reconstruction to actively push for civil rights. He desegregated the armed forces, and if it hadn't been for the Dixiecrats, a Civil Rights bill in 1949 or 1950 wouldn't have been out of the question. Not too mention Truman's progressive legislation with the Fair Deal and his push for universal healthcare. Can't forget his strong anti-communism either. He stood up to Stalin in a time when someone had too.
