Southeastern Asia results:
✓Thailand - 66.7%
Singapore - 33.3%

On to the final Asian round! I'll go with Japan for this one, though obviously my actual favorite is one that didn't make it to this round. Three days to vote.

If the winner doesn't get 50%, please remember to do a run-off.

Voted India. Japan would be my second.

I'll be doing a run-off either way, but thanks for the reminder.

Why do you do a runoff if one is over 50%? Doesn't that defeat the idea of a runoff, where the goal is to have a clear victor, marked by getting over 50%?

I'm going by Washington's top two primary rules. I think it's at least a bit more interesting and consistent if there's always a second round.

Wouldn't it be consistent to just say the winner is the first to get over 50%? It's more boring than interesting. Why would a winner who gets over 50% in one poll get under 50% in the next, just because their competition was reduced to one?

It totally depends on who votes (some people don't vote in the first round, but do in the second round), and some people might change their minds. Anyway, even though Japan is running away with this, I feel like it would be anticlimactic not to do a second round. Since people wanted a second round for Europe (which I originally didn't do), I've decided to always do more than one round. I will be using different rules for the next three continents, since they have fewer countries than Europe, Africa, and Asia.
