I like Gabbard, would be great to see her in a fopo spot.

No to Petraeus and F**k no to Kobach.

I'm currently opposed to Gen. Mattis' appointment as Secretary of Defense. He needs a waiver to even get confirmed. As I stated in my generals' thread in the individual politics section, I am in favor of qualified Generals being put in a cabinet position but not when they have not met their mandatory retirement requirement.

Also, on a personal ideological note, I oppose Mattis' stance on Israel and especially on the settlements. His comments are unhelpful and unproductive to the discourse on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Cathy McMorris-Rodgers would be a good pick and would keep Tom Price and Nikki Haley company as another respectable conservative in the administration. I'd be down for that since it, sadly, seems she won't get a chance to move up in house leadership.

I really like the Branstad pick for China Ambass.

I think Manchin would be great for SOEnergy, so hope he gets that.  Pruitt was a good pick as well.

Good. McMorris Rodgers should be the next Speaker.

After Ryan, of course. It would be a dream to have Ryan serve as Speaker until about 2025 and then CMR from like 2025-onwards.

Can't imagine Woolsey gets any job now. Any of those other three would be a strong choice

Stavridis would be an amazing addition, as would Hadley and Townsend, but the latter two likely won't get anything. Both are too much of Bush era vets and thinkers for Trump's tastes.

Stavridis has been straddled between both parties, so I think Trump would see him as a more gentler version of Mattis. Still a commanding figure, but with more centrist allure.
