Wait, you don't think Graham is gay, or it's absurd/ignorant/bad that Dukey pointed it out?

Some brands of Libertarianism seek to abolish the concept of a state. Some strands of socialism wanted the Jewish people eliminated. Some strands of the Christian faith want to restore sodomy laws. Every ideology, philosophy, religion, or political organization has radical sects. But the fundamental basis in Libertarianism lies in individual liberty, regardless if a state exists or not. I chose to believe that a state is necessary to protect the individual rights of citizens from other individuals, who would rule by brute terror.

Seriously.

This is a thread specifically for posting examples of people being asshats/ignoramuses/partisan hacks, not being one yourself.

Regarding women in 1960:

They weren't shallow enough to only vote for a man for his looks back then.

However, the average MS voter's opinions on the size of government, tax policy, regulations, and energy would do far more good for the economy

So, 'the economy' means the rich, cheesepizza?  Perhaps you are 'smart', not many people understand that.

A lot of poor ordinary Mississippians vote republican simply because they prefer a smaller government and less taxes. The republican party isn't owned by rich businessmen like a lot of people assume.

Important part bolded.

But most of the rich businessmen nowadays are Democrats.

And to answer your question, no I will not shut up, because many of the same people who accuse me of partisan hackery are engaging in it themselves.

I'd like it to be white middle class men who earn between $30,000-$100,000, own land, own guns, pay taxes, are married with children, and between the ages of 25-55, but those days are gone. It will probably be Hispanics.

It's comforting that Sbane wants Jeff Junior to suffer in the OK heat when there is a cool home 5 feet away.

It has nothing to do with what I want. If I had a dog, I would keep it inside because keeping it outside would defeat the purpose. But it is extremely hilarious to hear that a dog is going to die because it's 85 degrees outside. Talk about sheltered....

It may not roll over and die but it would ycertainly suffer if it were left outside day after day in temperatures like that or higher. This isn't really debatable.

What about people who pick fruits in 100 degree weather everyday?
Mexicans aren't people, sbane. Only dogs and real Americans are people.

In NC, I'll actually go with CD8 because it was the most pro-Amendment 1 district, voting 77% For.

NY-15 of course, given how it votes like North Korea. Not too many thinking folk there.

If you bothered look in the dictionary, of course, you'll see that the term"reactionary" is more aligned with conservative thought.

Perhaps you were confusing 'reactionary' with 'extreme'?

'Curious that you called me out in a previous thread because of my comments about the people of MO-07 and sequestration but you have no problem casting aspersions on the voters of NY-15.

Interesting. You made an observation about a state based on the comments of a single congressional representative of 1/8 of the state. I made an observation about a district based on the actual North Korea-esque voting behavior of the voters of the district, although the North Korea public probably consists of more freedom loving people than the NY-15 voters.

rofl

the bolded part is arguably true and the only part of that that makes any sense.

Shua, are you trying to be....I dunno, "ironic" or something? Or have you truly morphed into unabashed hackdom?

I'd imagine the North Koreans place a higher value on freedom- something they really aren't in a position to take for granted.

pretty much what I was getting at, Napoleon.  plus, there are many more people in North Korea (pop 24 mil) than in a congressional district, and presumably at least 5% of them are freedom loving.

No reason for it. If we had uniforms, then the next step would be for Democrats to come up with a left wing political slogan for kids to wear.
