One of those silly who-should-you-vote-for thingies:

http://london.votematch.co.uk/

I got:

1. Livingstone
2. Paddick
3. Berry
4. German
5. Craig
6. O'Connor
7. McKenzie
8. Johnson
9. Batten
10. Barnbrook

Big gap between Livingstone and the rest, tiny gap between Paddick and Berry. On the other end, there was a big gap between Barnbrook and the rest (yay!).

For the GLA:

1. Labour
2. "Unity for Peace and Socialism" (as far as I'm aware this is one of the Commie parties in disguise; CPB I think. Must check this)
3. LibDems
4. Respect-George Galloway (oh noes!)
5. Greens
6. "Left List" (ie; SWP wing of Respect)
7. "The Christian Choice" (fundies, usually run as CPA)
8. English Democrats
9. "Abolish the Congestion Charge"
10. Tories
11. UKIP
12. "One London" (the ones that were in UKIP but left for Veritas then formed their own party when that folded)
13. BNP

Large gap between Labour and the Commies, large gap between the Commies and the next three (all basically tied). Down at the bottom, there was a big gap between the BNP (and also "One London") and everyone else.

Edit: I checked and "Unity for Peace and Socialism" is indeed the CPB in disguise.

Abolish the Congestion Charge

UK Independence Party
One London (Leader Damian Hockney)
British National Party

...although it's actually a tie for second, and what's quite probably the minimum possible difference between those and first place. Another tie between ED and Abolish Sanity.

If this election is like the last two, I should be getting a candidate's booklet through my door in the near future.

How many of these Trot groups are there? I'm reminded of Ashes to Ashes...

Not really very shocking - I'd probably end up voting for Livingston - though many of those options were too vague\too london based for me. Though I can't imagine ever choosing to live in Lah-dahn.

No, it's probably based on the fact I don't know a lot of the London election issues and my answers to those are not informed by anything.

Mayor:

Siān Berry (Green Party)
Ken Livingstone (Labour)
Lindsey German (Left List)
Boris Johnson (Conservatives)
Brian Paddick (Liberal Democrats)
Alan Craig (Christian Peoples Alliance / Christian Party)
Matt O'Connor (English Democrats)
Winston Mckenzie
Gerrard Batten (UKIP)
Richard Barnbrook (BNP)

Berry slightly ahead of Livingstone, who is tied with German. Paddick is tied Johnson and Craig strangely enough.. Barnbrook came last fortunately..

Assembly:

Green Party
The Labour Party
Left List
Respect (George Galloway)
Unity for Peace and Socialism
Conservative Party
Liberal Democrats
The Christian Choice
English Democrats
UK Independence Party
Abolish the Congestion Charge
British National Party
One London (Leader Damian Hockney)

Greens slightly ahead of Labour and Left list.. The latter two were tied (again), as were the Conservatives and Lib Dems (again).. I personally think One London deserve to be ahead of the BNP at least a bit..

I very vaguely know/ know someone who knows two of the list candidates and one of them is not a member of the CPB but the other is.. Which suggests it may be a pact of various far-left parties?

Livingstone has a small lead in a new MORI poll. And a few days ago another YouGov poll gave Johnson another double-digit lead.

There was an LBC radio debate this week, which I had a listen to. No clear winner, I'd say, but they all seem reasonable people- although Boris the least. He did get his facts wrong about Thatcher- she was Education Secretary under Heath, IIRC.

My voting choice will be the same as last time- Labour first, Lib Dem second.

Apparently a new YouGov poll has Johnson's lead down to 6 (or to put it another way; YouGov appearst to be starting to converge with the more conventional polling outfits. This happend in the last General Election for those that find such things interesting).
