You have to append ?SITE=AP to the AP URL to get it to work, thus.

Thanks.

A quick glance appears to indicate Brown outperforming (even Romney) in the working-class (or formerly working-class) areas and the suburbs.  Coakley appears to be holding up well in the cities and rich liberal areas.  I can see Whouley at work here - question is "is it enough"?

At quicker glance - agree with Moderate and Dan - turnout and margins are just going to have to be greater in the cities/liberal bastions for Coakley to have a shot IMHO.

About a fifth of Lynn is in and Coakley only leads there by 3%.

A place where Patrick had a 2-1 advantage on Healey.

O'Brien won it by 5% in 2002.  Al pays attention to it because, well... you know.

Al - with 6/14 precincts in, Coakley only leads by six in Holyoke (just to give something you might miss).

With those types of margins from working-class Mass and what's already been noted from suburban Mass, Coakley better have some magic tricks somwhere - otherwise...

Holyoke - Coakley won by 12 Al.  May still be some hope for her, though that is worse than any Dem ever.

My preliminary guess is Brown by 5-8, but I need to see more cities before solidifying.

Fall River is all in. Coakley 57%, Brown 41%. Meanwhile, Coakley lost Achushnet - which went over 60% for O'Brien. Brünnhilde is burning.

The Fall River result is as weak as Cellucci v. Harshberger.  And Achushnet - it's never been worse there.

It's over.

Ok, now I am getting convinced. Brown seems to be pulling it.

Though, an interesting sideline: have you noticed the Western part of the state?

Yes - it's called the Berkshires.  Fascinating class voting patterns but pretty Democratic (even with Coakley)

Really good polls by PPP, ARG and Suffolk.

Not so good polls by Rasmussen (exit polls do not count !), CrossTarget, MRG, R2000 and InsiderAdvantage.

Rasmussen was a real pussy for not doing another poll.

Democrats still seem not to get what's going on.

Republicans don't either, of course (at least not what I see), but Scott Brown is benefitting from Democrats in this particular situation.

Just IMO.

go on...

I'll post more later.  Go see some of my threads with Beet.

(ah, I see, Meeker already beat me)

I am being serious though - Dems have misunderstood what 2008 actually meant.

Worchester Coakley 52, Brown 47

Collapse in working-class Mass is something to behold really.

To add to that (and everything else so far), Brown's margin in Bristol county is close to 10pts.

I wonder if this means the peasants are not happy.  Tongue

Folks - take a second to study those Clinton-Obama 2008 numbers and this election and tell me what you see....  I know Al already sees it.

Democrats had better pay attention.
