Even Barney Franks gets it!?!

For nearly a year the Fed has been acting as a giant slush fund for incompetent and venal businesses, making loan guarantees to businesse run by friends of the Chairman.

Ron Paul, to his credit (and the majority of the members of the House) wants to audit the fed.

Bloomberg news has recently won a federal lawsuit (FOIA) to get access to the loan guarantee data (the Fed is still fighting it).

It's not surprising that Barney Frank "gets it." An easy majority agree an audit of the Fed, more transparency, and revamping of monetary policies in general are needed in one form or another. It's obvious even to someone like me - a dolt.

What surprised me is that Frank and Paul are working together on this. Good on them.
