Now you are just trolling.
Enough already. You already gave us this same nonsense hours ago.
Atlas : Don't respond. He is just looking for another hard-on since his Viagra ran out. We already went a full-round with his comment.

So, I guess that, now that we're nearly 20 pages in, I can say that this event probably secured a D hold on Virginia's governorship this year?

Not at all. This was not a Republican-affiliated event, just some racist nut jobs.  The race is still in play even if Northam has the lead.

Wishful thinking.

No, it's not.  Neither Gillespie nor the Republican Party has ever aligned itself with such sick people.  Gillespie will not pander to these thugs.

But the white supremacists are hanging around Trump's neck now, and Trump is hanging around the Republicans' neck.

Exactly.
This is the connection many citizens see, and it will have an effect at the polls (though small, but still something).

Wish Marco Rubio was president if it was destined we'd have a Republican in 2017

I never regretted my support for him and still hope he will be president one day.

Anyone but trump would have been acceptable.
Rubio, Kasich .... even Jeb.
trump is just cancer to America. There is nothing good for our nation, that will come from trump.
And there would be just a small fraction of the level of disgust that we have seen from the media, the left, Atlas, etc.
Yes ..... there would be many differences of opinion in policy, but not all the ridiculousness that is trump's middle name.

The event had numerous College Republicans from UVA according to Twitter Users.

Does the UVA have the right to eject them for interacting with hate groups like the KKK, Neo-Nazis, etc ?

They should eject the KKK for interacting with College Republicans.

What ? !
The KKK cant force UVA's College Republicans to join with them in this rally of hatred.
That was a decision the College Republicans made for themselves.

The funny thing, there were no American flags or very few while the counterprotestors carried them.
I find that striking.

Oh ..... good observation.
And yet these same people (and some here on Atlas) have a problem when those protesting Immigration issues carry the Mexican flag.

Glad this Nazi was identified, and lost his job.
Hope many others just like him, find the same fate.

Charlottesville restaurateur threatened after he boots patrons for Nazi salute.

It's a moderate-size article about the event, so you may want to read the full story.
There is also a short video interviewing the owner of the restaurant, if you prefer a synopsis of the incident.

Here is the link : http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/13/us/charlottesville-restaurant-closes-protests/index.html

A terrorist attack by white-nationalist Nazis takes place on American soil, and the president is to address the entire nation about this brutal attack in Charlottesville.

So the president starts this important topic to the American people by bragging about economic issues ?
WTF is that !!
Am I the only one going nuts over this sh*t ?

Per CNN :
Nancy Pelosi calls on Trump to fire Steve Bannon.

In the wake of the Charlottesville violence, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called on Trump to fire his chief strategist Steve Bannon, calling him "an alt-right white supremacist sympathizer."

"If the President is sincere about rejecting white supremacists, he should remove all doubt by firing Steve Bannon and the other alt-right white supremacist sympathizers in the White House," she said in a statement.

Boy, this man has issues. Any psychiatrist could literally get rich by treating Donald Trump.

Hope you don't mind, but your comment was hidden under your post.
We need to give it the attention it deserves.

YesYoureRacist has identified the guy in the white (light-colored) shirt in the front row (center-right) in the image above, as Cvjetanovic, 20, a student at the University of Nevada in Reno.

Wow.
This young dude has one messed-up brain. There is so much wrong in his statement above, that I don't know where to start.

General Robert E Lee was defending the Confederacy because of the South's insistence with keeping slavery alive. Lee fought to continue the practice of white people owning black slaves. Yet this guy says he wants to just "honor and respect what he stood for during his time."

Am I missing something here ? What kind of logic is this ?

"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."

- Nelson Mandela

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Former President Barack Obama's tweet reacting to the attack in Charlottesville, Virginia, is the most liked tweet ever on the social network.

Obama tweeted a quote from Nelson Mandela's 1994 autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom" (found above).

** UPDATE **

Multiple people charged with burning objects with the ‘intent to intimidate’ on day of 2017 White nationalist march in Charlottesville.

A grand jury in Virginia has indicted three individuals for allegedly burning an object with the “intent to intimidate” on the night of a 2017 White nationalist demonstration at the University of Virginia, in which scores of people marched through the Charlottesville campus carrying flaming tiki torches and chanting White nationalist slogans.

The demonstration at UVA gained international notoriety with its images and videos of White nationalists who chanted “Jews will not replace us,” “You will not replace us” and “Blood and soil,” a phrase evoking Nazi philosophy on ethnic identity.
