Kirkcaldy has gone SNP with a 35% swing. Gordon Brown must be relieved that he's standing down.

Jo Swinson is out...again, good riddance.

She did a lot better then moost Labour incumbents in Scotland. It is the Lab collapse that did her in.

I don't think either the CPC or LPC were ever left totally without representation in Quebec, and neither party ran a successful campaign in the rest of Canada largely based on portraying Quebecois as bogeymen.

Though not necessarily disputing your larger point, the situation in Quebec in the 1990s were close. Recall that the Bloc Quebecois was formed by a good chunk of the Quebec nationalists Mulroney allied with to form a national coalition; for two elections the PCs had no representation there.

No campaign proper has attacked the Quebecois as bogeyman (mostly because Harper still thought gaining ground in Quebec was a necessary step to a majority up to 2011), but think about the campaign against the "separatists" that dominated their messaging from 2008-9. Since Harper did cobble a majority excluding Quebec in 2011, that weapon is back in their arsenal.

Since Labour's not winning, at this point I'm just hoping for the most hilarious results possible.

My seat, Rutherglen and Hamilton West falls.

Congrats.

In that case Maddy, lets hope for a SNP pickup via write-ins in Yorkshire Tongue.

I'm hoping for an SNP clean sweep, Galloway hanging on by the skin of his teeth, a UUP pickup in Fermanagh and South Tyrone, Clegg getting Blanched, and at least three or four seats going to UKIP.

The 538 forecast is now 325 for Tories.

I saw that, too.  Then I realized that they had 50+ for the Lib Dems.

Tories are back down to 298 on 538's website.

EDIT:

Something's wrong with the 538 numbers.  They're fluctuating wildly.  I really don't think this is right:

So ITV is reporting that Farage has mostly likely lost. I guess that is the end of his tenure as leader of the UKIP. I have hope for Thurrock, however. Any news out of Eastleigh?

Greenock gone.

SNP are now winning seats in places they didn't win in 2011.

Courtesy of LD collapse. Tories, actually, gained 4% there.

Which would be ironic since Ed Balls is probably losing

It wouldn't be without precedent.  I don't think there's been a Northern Ireland secretary from that country in decades.

I'm not sure there will be a governing coalition.
