Should they focus more on obtaining Hispanic voters, and try for a map like this:

279-259 R
Essentially, have a Hispanic or two on the ticket, and focus on winning more of the Hispanic vote. Also, this would mean less states to spend money on, something Republicans might want to look into doing in 2016. The Koch Brothers are already starting to fund Hispanic groups.http://news.yahoo.com/koch-affiliated-group-ramps-up-hispanic-outreach-push-204733568.html
This seems like a beneficial long term goal as well. But, the main problem here is that most of the GOP candidates likely in 2016 are anti immigration, besides Rubio, possible VP candidate Martinez, and Bush (unlikely to run). Las Vegas would be a prime convention spot.

Now, here is another map, going in a different direction:

315-223 R
Here, the Republicans moderate more on social values, and try the 'missing whites" strategy. Many possible candidates fit the bill for this, including Scott Walker, Chris Christie, and Paul Ryan. The electoral benefits would outweigh the previous map by far. Philadelphia would be a prime convention spot. But, the main problem here is that this would mean more money would have to be spent, in not just more states, but in bigger states as well than in option 1.

So, what do you guys think? What option should they take against Hillary, or against a different candidate?

The GOP is not going to do better with Hispanic voters until they pass immigration reform otherwise the Dems will just point how the GOP helped kill immigration reform.

Agreed, I believe the GOP will pass it, because this year is crucial for the GOP in relation to Hispanics.

Not in an election year, 2015 is their last chance.

Anyway, even if the GOP goes with Path 1, eventually with NC and GA trending D they are going to have to find other states to win in, meaning they will likely have to moderate their image anyway. In that case, perhaps something like this in the distant future.

Jon Huntsman/Jeb Bush is not so bad a ticket; Huntsman would stand up to any Democrat that slandered the Bush name in the telivised debates, better than Romney did.
Wrong thread. Smiley

Here is another question: What path do you think the GOP will take?

I believe the 2nd path should be the way to go. It is going to be very hard for us to target Hispanics when the majority of the party outside of Rubio, Bush and Martinez doesn't support immigration reform. Obama's approval rating with whites is low, so they should capitalize on it, by targeting it women voters, and younger voters.

Moving too far right on social issues will only hurt us.

Great points, but as I said before, I think path one would be less expensive.

No Immigration Reform is not the end all be all for Hispanics. Hispanics just don't want to be told to self-deport(like Romney did.) They don't want to hear that you want their mom or their friend(who may not be their blood relative but they view as part of their family) to self-deport.

If you ask me, the first graph seems the best for the long term, and I think the GOP is going to choose that one it seems.

Yeah, this does need to be a constant thing. Lately, the Koch brothers are throwing money to Hispanic conservative groups, which is a good thing.

Besides his position on same sex marriage, what? Most Americans supports restrictions on abortions anyway (specifically second and third term abortions).
