ITT we post who we think is the most terrible person in the house of representatives and why. Personally my choice is Musgrove. Musgrove is a religious rightist hard right 'populist' conservative who votes with the GOP constantly plus favors terrible policies.

It's Musgrave, not Musgrove. Musgrove is the Democratic former governor of Mississippi (and current Senate candidate), but not a member of the House. Musgrave is the wacko from Colorado.

One worst one is hard, but Don Young is probably my choice. Corruption is a much bigger issue than simple hatefulness.

Yeah, and he also has four rent controlled apartments in New York City (I know he has been accused of having multiple personalities, but fourt apartments).

The national media ignored this, since they mostly agree with Rangel's sentiment, but it was heavily reported in Mississippi.  Shortly after Hurricane Katrina, Rangel was quoted as saying "Mississippi gets more than their fair share back in federal money, but who the hell wants to live in Mississippi?"  He didn't apologize, and no one outside of Mississippi cared that he said that.  But every Mississippian, from the far right to the far left despises him.

Pickering correctly demanded an apology, but he wrongly attributed to liberal/Democrat's bigotry toward Mississippi, when it's actually all Northerners.

Or there are so many to choose from!

Murtha, Maxine Waters, Jefferson of New Orleans, Hinchey, Moran (some retiring (under duress)  GOP incumbents), and on and on. Schmidt in Ohio is also a piece of work.

Why Murtha? Can't be because he stood up against Vietnam: part 2 right?

Because he's a pork king, and a dinosaur who has a district tailor gerrymandered for him?

It wasn't really gerrymandered for him. It's just the result of GOP favored gerrymandering elsewhere.

Because he's a corrupt, irascible, self pitying, mentally challenged, ear marking addicted clown.  I could no doubt add more adjectives as time goes by. Tongue

Ya, I need to add Tancredo to my list. He' wrong on almost all the issues, and dumber than a pet rock.

I'd say about 65% of representatives are serious contenders for this dishonor. If I had to go with just one, I would say William Jefferson, since no amount of corruption will ever make his constituents vote for anyone else (it's Louisiana after all). This alone makes him probably the most dangerous of the lot.

Mine, Dolittle is pretty awful.  Indicted by Abranoff and has an easy name for attack ads.

Tancredo is one of the better ones. The obvious answer here is Nancy Pelosi.

There are too much to choose from here.   A better question would be "who are the good representatives?"
