I'd consider McCain, just because he's so boring that he'd put the kids to sleep in no time.  Also, his bedtime would be early enough that I wouldn't worry about the kids staying up too late with the babysitter.  On the downside, when I returned, the kids would refer to me as "my friend."

Ralph Nader is older and more boring than McCain.
