what it would look like if the Democrats ran a really conservative candidate and the Republicans ran a really liberal candidate in 2008.  Would Utah still vote GOP because of it's Republican-ness?  Would Nebraska? or Indiana?  What about ideologically torn states such as W.Virginia with economic liberalism and social conservatism?
