Denial - Those Teabagger idiots will go away before the primary season is over/election day/2012!  Then we'll be able to take our party back!

Anger - I've worked my WHOLE LIFE on behalf of the Republican Party and they repay me by throwing away all these seats!  I'm endorsing the Democrats so the Teabagger idiots can lose!

Bargaining - Okay, you can have your Marco Rubios and Mike Lees and Rand Pauls and Sharron Angles, but I at least want my Mike Castle.  Mike Castle is the last straw dagnabit!

Depression - It's just not our party anymore.  There's no place for us in the American political system.

Acceptance - We win some, we lose some.  I want the Republicans to win, but if I were living in State X I would write in [insert primary loser here].  We still have Mitt Romney for 2012!

I don't subscribe to the 'moderate' label, but I always was of the opnion that there were certain areas where RINO's should be allowed to roam free.

I never was the type to just "Take my ball and go home" so to speak, though. I'm pretty much universally supporting Republican candidates, save for one or two third party endorsements in states I don't live in.

Why'd you endorse Maes?

Also, the Mike Castle and Lisa Murkowski types are what's wrong with the GOP - they're relentlessly pro-war, freakishly awful on civil liberties, and only want to grow government slower (in Castle's case not necessarily even growing government slower, just with different priorities).

Well, to be honest, I hadn't really followed the Colorado Gubernatorial race up until today, when I asked Jbrase what the deal was - lots of sketchy fundraising details and what not.

While it is refreshing to see some of the more 'establishment/big government' Republicans to get the axe, I would prefer to be more incrementalist about it - for instance, supporting Rand Paul in Kentucky or Miller in Alaska, and gradually expanding that group until the face of the GOP is changed for the better.

Grief of what? Delaware and the Colorado Governorship are the only things lost because of the Tea Party.

And Nevada Senate seat. Several potential house races.

Let's not rule out Nevada just yet.  Your party was drooling over the prospect of scalping the Democratic SML, which was a safe bet until June this year.

Plus, if the race ends up being as close as predicted, Ashjian's fake "Tea Party" candidacy could end up becoming a spoiler after all, even with his expected <1% of the vote.

If you go to my endorsement map, I've endorsed more Libertarians and independents than Republicans. Would you call sbane a Democrat? If not, you have a double standard.

My use of The LibertasTM was for your decision to ignore the substantial content of my post and instead focus on my Freudian slip about your partisan affiliation, which I actually couldn't give two sh**ts about.

Your use of the pseudo-word "lulz" didn't help either.

Sorry, but people calling me a Republican is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Anyway, you could add Nevada there too. The point is, the Tea Party has been by far a net plus for the GOP. Without that enthusiasm they'd be lucky to gain more than 25 seats in the House.

Lulz is an abomination and should be a banword, if we had a real admin here.

Hibbert: There are five stages. First is denial.
Homer: No way, because I'm not dying.
Hibbert: Next comes anger.
Homer: Why you little...
Hibbert: After that comes fear.
Homer: (terrified) What's after fear? What's after fear?
Hibbert: Bargaining.
Homer: Doc, you've got to get me out of this. I'll make it worth your while.
Hibbert: And finally, comes acceptance.
Homer: Well, we've all got to go sometime.
Hibbert: Mr. Simpson, your progress is remarkable!
