Why is De Lauro not being considered a top choice for the US Senate. I would think that a progressive female candidate would be a great choice.

Would you walk around with her in public if she was your own mother?

Chris Murphy will win Lieberman's seat.

She is a freaky, freaky woman. Plus, it would be stupid of her to try and go for the Senate seat now. She might pull a victory off in the primary, and than most likely win the seat.. but why give up the seniority you built up in the House, for a Senate seat your going to have for 3 or 4 years before you kick teh bukkit

Probably because she's not letting it be known that she's interested

I think it's appalling that everyone seems to be mocking her looks- I thought in light of recent events we'd all try to move on from that.

And it's not as if the Senate is full with handsome studs.

No, her hair and her voice make her sound like a man. Its funny, so I'm going to go ahead and continue to do that.

What do looks have to do with anything? It's quite an unintelligent argument. She'd probably rather stay in the House than get caught up in a primary that has candidates already interested.

Why should Congresswoman DeLauro give up her seniority and position for life to get into what's likely to be a crowded field to run for Senate?  Even if she were to win, she'd have no seniority and much less power in the Senate.  It wouldn't make sense.

Because she is ugly, and she is a bitch. Thats why. And my previous argument is valid sir, because I own a horse. Also, as cinyc said, and I have said earlier, why get into a primary that she may just barely win, and give up her senority in the House to be a Senator with nothing. Plus, she is old, its not like she is Murphy, who has the time to build something up.

Marco Rubio, Scott Brown, and John Thune are pretty studly. Smiley

Richard Burr is sorta dreamy, if you're into older guys.
