Sectarian Marriage should not be recognized by the state at all....then again, you can't just give tax credits for the birth of kids or not give tax credits to people with kids, but I am sure we can think of something.

I can already tell this is going to be a hot topic. Anyway, I voted for No Recognition. (Hey, everyone, let's laugh at that stupid homophobe Willy Woz!)

I refuse to laugh, because it wasn't too long ago that I would have said no recognition.  I think I speak for everybody here when I say that everyone has a right to their opinion, though they may not agree with it.  We don't bash people for their opinions themselves, just be prepared to be challenged vigorously in your opinion and be prepared to stand up for what you believe.  Believe me, I've been through that in the past month, myself.

Gay marriage, though pragmatically, civil unions.

and if no recognition, should homosexual behavior be discouraged or criminalized or do we just pretend that no one is gay (like the law usually does now).

Gay marriage, though technically what I really support is civil unions for all (hetero and homo) with what defines marriage being left up to individuals and churches.

Full marriage rights.  Civil unions are a form of "separate but equal" thinking.

I can already tell this is going to be a hot topic. Anyway, I voted for No Recognition. (Hey, everyone, let's laugh at that stupid homophobe Willy Woz!)

What's your reasoning?  Do you support recognition for heterosexual couples?

Uh yeah....

It seems weird that more conservatives haven't been voting on this...

BushOklahoma is about the most conservative here (by your definition), and he favors civil unions. Inks will be around shortly, I'm sure.

Because I believe homosexual behavior is immoral. Then again, so does StatesRights, and you never beat up on him. Part of being an American is having Freedom, but you guys don't seem to understand that.

Freedom to oppress others? Funny, I seem to recall that rights only come without impugning others' rights.

What about my Freedom to marriage a guy? Also what is immoral about homosexuality? Is it immoral to love someone else?

Freedom to oppress others? Funny, I seem to recall that you support destroying freedom of speech, religion, and expression.

Well, here's a little question for you: Do you support a law enforcing that all religious denominations bless unions/marriages for same-sex couples??

Next time, try saying what you're about to post out loud before typing it. If it sounds like you're a raving lunatic, don't post it.
