For someone like, say, David Cameron to endorse and campaign a little for someone in France is completely different from an American President campaigning in the U. K. Endorsements alone are almost always fine.

Pathetic. Why should the former President of a nation in such a state as ours have some sort of popular sway over the voters of France? This is completely different from considering international alliances or a nation's standing on the world stage and only paints the endorse as desperate and flailing.*

*I'm assuming the above links to Obama's endorsement of Macaroni.

It's good, as it reveals the real preferences and affiliations of politicians. Many Democrats (far fewer Republicans) pretend otherwise, though.
