Steve Israel or Kathy Hochul are the most probable.

Israel's retiring. Hochul isn't a bad choice but she'll be easily tied down to Cuomo. Schumer at least has some liberal street cred, while Cuomo has none. (NOTE: Used the word liberal, not progressive, so before the left-wing gets triggered, calm down)

Gillibrand was going to be but then she started doing her own thing in 2013.

Kathleen Rice seems to vote virtually like he does. Grace Meng not far off, either. Both voted against the Iran Deal, tow a semi-hawkish line on foreign affairs, and Rice supports TPP (Meng was against it).

Huh
As in, when Clinton became Secretary of State, she was appointed to the other Senate seat.

But that was in 2009.

She's more left-wing then Schumer and has started to carve an image for herself. She seems to still be good with Schumer, but she's her own person, imo, not his protege.

Worth noting that Preet Bharara started out working for Chuck.

Very interesting, indeed. They both do have a love for staying in the media and both have a strong ambitious nature.

The reason I said Kathleen Rice was due to her district's location, decent amount of Jewish voters who are hawkish, socially liberal and pro-gun control (which, btw, she has made a big priority of hers since day one, like Schumer has).
