It seems odd in a democratic vote to critice the voters for supporting democracy.

Not that that's what I've been doing of course... I've been judging countries on a combination of the asthetic value of their flags (Tanzania ftw!); whether I like the sound of the names of their capital cities (Mali ftw!); and, most critically, how tall their Finance Ministers are.

Any other decision making system is, of course, unfairly subjective and arbitrary  - and all those involved should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for undermining the solemnity of this voting process.

Well, all i really wanted was some explanation to why people would try to kick out historically interesting and decent enough countries. If you base your votes on the height of the finance ministers, that's not my problem Some time ago i thought otherwise, But now i don't see anything wrong in being pissed off and rant about votes, after all that's one of the good things about democracy too
The problems arise when you have people like Libertas that manage survivors and actually uses several tactics to protect the ones he likes, and as far as i know i never asked Fab to rig the vote or something.

Anyways, i'm sorry if i sounded rude, and yes, i too have different ways of voting that varies with each survivor and i also have my biases

My point was simply that complaining about anyone else's voting patterns when there is no agreed/stated/suggested/implied conditions/attributes for the winner, seems to me... odd.
In the absence of any such agreed system, I don't think it great that people might express unction that posters on a politics forum might judge countries by their politics.

(Aside to this, I'd also say that the idea that some of these countries have more interesting histories than others is a rather brave statement, particularly as I'd wager that most people here don't know the first thing about the histories of most of the countries.)
