And for those saying this won't hurt her, that is absurd. She will most definitely still win, but if this sucks the enthusiasm out of some people to go vote and/or changes some minds, then all those sweeping gains we were looking primed to get are in danger.
I'll grant that, but I am hating how everyone is freaking out how she will automatically lose because of this.

If anything im freaking out over how low her mandate will be now....

Comey closing the investigation on Clinton hurt her poll numbers, so surely this will be a boon for her campaign!

Seriously, though. Unless there's a "there" there, this will be out of the news by Monday. Clinton might drop a point or two, and it might cost her a state, but that's pretty much the farthest this could potentially go.

And thats why were panicking....

If anything, when this blows over as political malpractice by the FBI, this will motivate people to vote even more.

If anything it motivates conservatives to vote and those who werent strongly voting for her to just stay home a bit.

Once an election turns into the perception that its a tied horse race then it will actually become one.

Even if this WAS something what makes people think it would matter? The second the average Joe hears CLINTON EMAILS!!1! their eyes roll back in their head and they start nodding off. I mean, emails, seriously? This is the least sexy scandal in the world. No one cares.

Catch Clinton in bed with an underage lesbian hooker? Then I'll be worried. That's the kind of thing that moves papers. In no universe do normal people actually care about this email nonsense.

Or those average joe who dont continue watching to figure out this was nothing and already baked it in his head now that he's voting for trump.

Comey testified EVERYTHING was reviewed. Since there MAY be something unreviewed, for his testimony to be true (aka not perjury) he has to inform Congress.

Chaffetz is a little turf for leaking this though

Something to take the heat off on his non-endorsement endorsement of trump.

Red Avatars "who care?"

Reality: even pro-hillary, Main Stream Media cares of it.

Game over.  Red avatars! it was good game!

At worst:

Lol at people giving nevada to trump when predicting a closer race. Sharon angle was up by 2.7% in RCP and lost by 5.6%. Obama was up 2.8% in 2012 and won by 6.7%. The hispanic vote has always been underpolled.

CNN now changed to "FBI reviewing" so at least there's that.

yeah but its too late already. once you report it even without subsistence it gets ingrained in the minds of a lot of people already.

Once she is in office just to prevent this BS from happening she should follow what the russians did after the NSA leaks and switch to paper and phonecalls.

So basically.

1. Unreleated to private server investigation.

2. Was not classified.

3. Chaffetz lied about 'reopening' because he knew it would cause a lot of flak for Hillary whether it happened or not

4. f*** weiner

Ugh, Politico still not editing their headline title in line with this. I should probably switch my political news source

You're just realizing now that Politico is terrible?

...yes. I only started using them in 2015, and they actually seemed fine this year. But I should switch. CNN? Or maybe somewhere else? Idk

Read the NYT. The printed press is the only decent source left.

Just checked Washington Post and their still running with the 'investigation' claim.

Looks like this shouldn't matter at all, but it's impossible to tell this minute whether it will be a big deal or disappear immediately. Only time is gonna tell, friends.

Probably not enough for those who think its ok to vote for the fascist now because they didnt stick around for further info other than the headline.

Emails in question were sent or received by Huma Abedin, a law enforcement official tells @CNN, perhaps thousands of emails to review.

sigh the media trying to make an implication that Hillary shared classified emails to Huma and/or Weiner. Why couldnt the election just happen already this week?

What we do know...

1. the emails did not come from her private server
2. the emails did not come from Hillary
3. the device did not belong to Hillary
4. there are only 3 emails being checked

Let me attempt to knock down this myth-making in progress:

1. Stated another way, the emails came from Huma's server; logically this can only mean any Huma/Hillary emails here were deleted or lost from Hillary's server

2. They came from Huma.  Unless you're suggesting Huma and Hillary never emailed each other, we can't state that they aren't to/from Hillary.

3. Correct.

4. NYT is quoting a source saying "thousands".  Which is more likely?  That Huma and Hillary only exchanged 3 emails in all those years?  Or thousands.

The only way this would have legal implications is if she shared classified info with Huma and you know that its unlikely.

Looks like NY Post is going the Weiner-centric route to say the least:

Out of the right wing outlets the NY Post is shockingly giving a headline thats better for her than the ones this afternoon.

October surprise against Hillary, she is going down.

Based on what? There is nothing here.

The october surprise is the negative coverage because of Chaffetz letter.

Honestly the greatest surprise of all here is that there aren't siren logos on Drudge right now.

Bigger surprise is Fox (by several hours) had mention of this being related to Weiner in their headline, whereas CNN has only just now mentioned it.

Fox News already have conservative viewers in the bag. CNN thinks they can use this to get conservative viewers.

And the emails in question are from devices belonging Huma and Weiner. Not Hillary.

Given the disparity of the reports, I'm wondering if there are thousands of emails total on the device (which according to some reports was Weiner's laptop, which Abedin borrowed occasionally), but most of them are Weiner's, while only 3 are from Abedin to Clinton.

The whole story was a bruhaha to begin with. 3 emails out of thousands belonging to emails from huma and weiner, were from Clinton. Then chaffetz knows she could help the GOP so easily by throwing a bone to the media who are starved of any news relating to the election the past week by claiming she is being investigated over emails related to her private server.

Turns out it has nothing to do with her private server. FBI is investigating if there are any other emails from Clinton to Huma,  to see if they have anything to add to their investigation which would be unlikely to indict Hillary considering the wouldn't give classified emails to huma or weiner.
