I know we've elected Republican Governors many times, but it's still surprising to see that Charlie Baker is not only popular, but the most popular governor in the United States. I still will vote for whoever is running against him as the Democrat in 2018, but goes to show that being as non-partisan as possible can help with approval ratings. I won't vote for him, but the Governor's seat is likely safe Republican assuming Baker runs again.
