He's sort of a Clinton/DLC type, not really a progressive.

The legislation he's helped get passed in CT is very progressive:

- Budget deal based on shared sacrifice with no state layoffs
- Decriminalization of marijuana and legalization of medical marijuana
- Transgender rights bill
- Right for day care works and personal care attendants to unionize and collectively bargin
- Repealing the death penalty
- Increasing education funding for early childhood education and low income school districts
- Voter expansion bill that allowed for same day voter registration and online registration
- The best gun legislation in the country. Universal background checks, banned magazines with more than 10 rounds, registry for dangerous-weapon offenders, added over 100 types of gun to the state's assault weapons ban. Issued an executive order to prohibit anyone on federal terrorist watchlists (such as the No Fly List) from obtaining the permits required to acquire firearms in Connecticut, The executive order would also revoke existing permits for people on such lists.
- Allowing all residents, including undocumented immigrates, to get drivers licenses
- Repealed Connecticut's ban on the sale of alcohol on Sundays

Dan The Man is one of the best governors in America!
