Clay, although I'm not a big fan of either. 1832, for me, is sort of like 1960 or 1968 - lousy candidates all around.

Clay, for what I know.  I don't think Clay would impose the trail of tears on the indians.

Both have some very positive and some very negative aspects. It really depends on what issues would have mattered to an 1832 version of me, a question that's impossible to answer.

Nicholas Biddle (unless there are two Biddles?)--and I sincerely doubt that Clay was a puppet of Czar Nicholas.

That said...

I hate both Clay's and Jackson's guts.

William Wirt, the only sensible option (well, as sensible as any Mason running on the Anti-Masonic ticket can be).

Clay: 54%

Jackson: 46%

Clay would landslide, mainly because of his great speaking skills (especially compared to Jackson Tongue), but he would win many states 50-50 or 51-49.

That would be nice but I dunno if it would be that great of a landslide.  Jackson would certianly at least win TN.

Jackson, for getting rid of the national bank. Also, Clay was far too keen on "internal improvements" (i.e., pork-barrel projects).
