I am formally announcing that I plan to run for the US Senate seat up for election from the State of Alabama.
I will be running as a write-in candidate, as the ballot-access requirement in Alabama was too much to attempt to overcome.
You may be asking yourself, "why run as a write-in?". The answer is simple, there is almost no difference between the Republicans and Democrats, and I can actually mention issues that are truly important that wouldn't be discussed otherwise. Also, I estimate that between 1-2% of ballots cast this fall will be write-in votes, so, I'm giving the people a name to write-in.
If elected, I will introduce and sponsor the "Read the Bills Act", "Write the laws Act", as well as other legislation that will reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government.
Darryl W. Perry

Here appears to be a valiant hour long video of him defend himself in court against a traffic violation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZfUTgLwZmQ

*Honest transcript with some unrelated content in between omitted but for legal purposes the statements are solely opinions/viewpoints of those who expressed them and should not be considered as absolute factual statements

So that is why he decided to skip 2016. He's afraid of this became a career-ending scandal.

PERRYMENTUM UPDATE

Darryl Perry received two write-in votes in the New Hampshire Republican Primary! With this impressive result, he is tied with House Speaker Paul Ryan and Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady for 41st place in the primary

This should be the real news, but Bernie and Donald stole the coverage away from DWPERRY.

Haven't DW Perry refused to fill with the FEC as a "protest"? That's what the wiki says.

He should have picked Dave Leip as his running mate.  Without the fame he got from this forum, Mr. Perry would be a nobody.

Also, Dave would secure the nerd base.

Perry/Muon would be nice. Ideologically balanced, if anything can balance someone that wants to abolish the federal government.

muon would make an excellent VP contender.

A scientist? Check.
Not from one of those crazy states? Check.
The Forum loves him? Triple check.

99.5% of the forum vote would be secured for Perry/muon ticket.

...Damn. I was expecting his Twitter to be TRUMP-level hilarious. Turns out it's just basically a stream of third-party and independent news. That's a shame.

As for you, Sanchez, don't undermine Perry's campaign. I'll be completely serious here; the fact that a former Atlas poster could end up being the nominee of the biggest third party in the United States is somewhat inspiring and uplifting. Besides, I'd prefer to see DW Perry in the general election, just so that his hilarious campaign can continue.

Word. And I'll note that prior discussions in the Mod Cave have indicated that using anything ever posted on Atlas to f$#k with someone's real world life--even in a political sense like Perry's--is a mega permanent ban and salt the earth level infraction (with which I 101% agree).

Very reasonable. One has to be an utter douchebag to mess with someone's real word life, using this forum posts.

The real question is:

IF DWPERRY IS NOMINATED, WILL HE WIN AT LEAST ONE STATE IN A CLINTON VS. TRUMP MATCHUP? THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM IS ALREADY BROKEN.

Does this make Perry the candidate of angry women?

Well, insulting Abraham Lincoln, posting a nude, and announcing your candidacy on the Atlas Forum of all places, ten years before the election should be the kind of things that make women hate you, but I guess it backfired and all women in NH, angry or otherwise, love him.

He actually done that?

I try to stay out of these threads, but I saw a quote from one of Perry's delegates and thought you'd all appreciate it:

I just realized a very troubling thing. The wiki doesn't have an article on DWPERRY.

Shall we fix this?

According to the wiki page on the Atlas, this forum is a "debate chamber".

Sounds very distinguished, doesn't it?

It does, but we must be proactive in keeping our less savory members, such as StatesPoll and Shadows, hidden from view. Otherwise, we risk being downgraded from our prestigious "debate chamber" to "delusional political views amplification chamber" Sad

In order to retain our prestige, it may be a good idea to contain them to one megathread, just like it was done with nkpatel (those were crazy days).

Nobody edit that page. Nobody draw attention to it. They'll never notice if nobody draws attention to it. I'm pretty sure there's still a reference to Bushie in the Choctaw, OK page.

That's not how Wikipedia works. It'll be found quite quickly.

As an admin, I *should* report the page, but I won't.

Actually now that I think of it, even the most obscure edits on the most obscure topics are being spotted sooner than later. But, even though I used to be pretty active on both English and Polish wiki for some years, I don't know how admins manage to remain hands-on, given there must be literally dozens of dozens edits every minute.
