First snow expected here this weekend, down to about 1400 meters.

Actually it already snowed tonight, but only the mountaintops were covered white.

Pretty cold down in the valley, with only 5-15°C ...

And this after we had a great & hot summer, with temps mostly above 30°C ...

This.

Dutch climate is one of the reasons that I'd like to live in another country. Autumn is just depressing.

I like the Austrian climate with its extremes so much more than the boring, "moderate hero" Dutch sea climate. Some of my family lives close to Vienna. Amazing weather.

Fall.

It's the most visually interesting where I live.

I agree with these statements, mostly:

It seems to me that it's mostly by geography: southerners tend to like winter and fall, while northerners tend to like summer.

I like the Austrian climate with its extremes so much more than the boring, "moderate hero" Dutch sea climate.

Let me just say, I love the concept of climates being "moderate hero." I wonder what a libertarian, conservative, liberal, or socialist climate would be like? A fascist one would be really bad, I presume.

Is cold weather more socially conservative, while warm weather is more fiscally conservative?

Interestingly, this poll lines up my preferences exactly:

Autumn
Summer
Winter
Spring

I love autumn more than ever. I love the weather and it's also the season that moves us into the Christmas Season (I am aware that this isn't the case in places where there is a six-month winter). As I've gotten older, summer has really lost its appeal to me.

Maybe. Perhaps rainy weather is more fiscally left-of-center?
