I absolutely loathe the Republican party. But in Canada the Conservative party isn't insane and far right like the Republicans. I have been pretty ambivalent during the Harper era. He has to be extremely careful not to offend the Liberal consensus in Canada. He knows that if he ever tried to amend the abortion ruling or SSM, he would get tossed out pretty fast.
I am backing the NDP in 2015, I do not think Trudeau is ready to govern.
