I don't think I'm terrible.  I just seen a picture of me at 17 and know I was much better looking then.  I was also 50-60 pounds lighter so that's what I need to do!  Heavier/older women love me for some reason, but the 20ish spring chickens aren't exactly biting as easily for me as they are for some of my other friends.

Ok, what a loaded question.  Most people on here are the misfits of society in one way or another, including myself.  Yes, I have friends, but I was also picked on in high school and to an extent in college.  A fair number of us aren't exactly the types of people that get many dates either or get slapped or laughed at when trying to approach a member of the opposite sex, including myself.  In my case it's more me getting pushed off or her stupid friend pulls them away on the dance floor to somehow "protect" them from me.  In some cases our politics are influenced by this being the fact I'm not handsome, in shape, or rich ergo I am a Democrat.  I forget who made a quote like that, but if someone can fill me in I'd appreciate that.

WalterMitty, was there a point to this thread?

I believe that was Zig-Zag Zell Miller

Ugh, that's a good quote, but a horrible human being!

Pretty good.  I dont run around bragging about my looks, mostly because its like I had any say in choosing my phyisical features.  But over all I think Im a good looking guy.

Just a side note for those of you think you have below average looks.  A lot has to do with the way you present and groom yourself.  Dressing nice, smelling nice, keeping a clean appearance,  etc... can go a long way.

I try to do the same, but I have a pesky gut that always finds its way out.  When you're in shape a wife beater looks good whereas I can buy a $60 shirt, be all well groomed and still look like crap because the shirt shows my gut horribly.

Max, you said you were fairly overweight at 165 for your height of 5'11.

Max, I am the same height, and I outweigh you by close to 100 pounds.

You are morbidly obese then.

How nice of you to point that out <sarcasm of course>.  One must also look at body fat % and for me that's 23%.  Still high, but though I'm 245 pounds which is considered obese, the 23% is pretty bad, but not terrible.  I kinda have the same problem as Max being that most of my weight loves to settle in my stomach and I can see what he's saying, but if he keeps working hard, that will go away as he gets older and should be in good shape.  When I was 5'10", 195-210 in high school, I thought I was in decent shape and could skate as fast as some 140 pound kids though I always had that pesky pouch around my abdomen.  My advice:

Max:  You're doing a good job, keep it up!  Sometimes we all don't have the best genes, but still make the most of it.  You're 15 and have plenty of time to develop muscularly and there is no way in hell I'd consider you overweight.  If you keep on the track you are, avoid the stupid sh**t like excess drinking, you will have an incredible physique by the time you're 17-18- something I only wish I have.

Dr. Cynic:  What will hurt you at 17 with the opposite sex is your weight and I can never deny that, but even worse than that is CONFIDENCE.  I have been turned down many of times solely because of my weight, but I've also seen 300-350 pound men that look even worse than I do with hot 110-130 lb. arm candy for girlfriends.  Back when I was 17, there was a girl who worked in the Floral department of a supermarket I worked at I had a huge crush on, told everyone about, yet I never had the balls to approach her.  I heard a year later she was interested, but if I wasn't such a dumb ass I probably could have got with her.  If you know someone you like,  it- GO FOR HER!  However, what will hurt you more in your 20s is not having career goals, ambition and confidence even 10X more than weight.  There are also women who want perfection themselves with teenage girls wanting tall, dark, ripped, and handsome and golddigging 20-somethings wanting "established, successful" men.  Know what-  FU(K THEM!!  They aren't worth your time, but at the same time keep trying to improve yourself.

Speaking of which I'm going to digest my dinner then off to the gym!

It's not too pretty.  I'm the one in the red tie.

The girls seem to like you just fine. Wink

The girl in the photo is one of my former roommates girlfriend.

She seems into you! Smiley  Dude, I said this last night.  You get turned down NEXT!  Turned down again- NEXT! NEXT! NEXT! NEXT!  Just like plugging away at it like a slot machine.  She looks pretty.  Does she have a boyfriend?

Brian, confidance really isn't it. I have done my best, and given a good effort each time. I will be 18 approxamately one month from today, and am hoping this year goes better.

As far as ambition, I wasn't voted "Most Likely To Succeed" for nothing. Perhaps if you saw my pic, it would be easier to judge me.... But I can't figure out how to put one up...

Oh, Jake, my morbidly obese frame gets me roles, I'm not complaining about it. Smiley.

Like I said teenage girls are tougher on physical standards than older women.  Not saying my weight is ok at 25, but other things come into play and I did see your pic.  Women LOVE fat funny guys.  I'm fat and have the personality of a crude hockey player.  Reason I gained a lot of weight was the combination of drinking plus the fact I had to go on a hefty dose of Prednisolone for quite some time.  Thing is I wasn't always this big.

I'm very good looking. All my life, that's all anyone has ever told me. Plus, ever since I quit spiking my hair in March, I've gotten more out of the blue compliments on it...and girls thinking I am in college. I was a male model when I was younger, and I personally think that my natural red glowing hair is unique so that I will never dye it.

Yes Mr. Bonaduce, you were quite the cute kid on the Partridge Family.  It's a shame you didn't do more to save EAGLE 106 from going off the air in 1993.  I loved the Nut Hut in the mornings and Lovephones with Dr. Judy at night.  Damn, what Catholic school didn't teach me! Smiley  Is that your mom or sister?  She's cute too!
