If people woudn't split from regions after one bad election the ME, MW and NE would be much more interesting. The most ridiculous thing is that the left had won the abortion fight at the regional level at the referendum box, so the split made even less sense.

Just like the NE in 2010.

I encourage you to actually take a look at the results if you think the Northeast and Midwest elections aren't interesting. Roll Eyes

I encourage you to reread my post, especially the bold. Roll Eyes

This is basically October 2012 all over again.

Universal model for second term attainment?

Oh I did. I just struggle to see what could be more interesting in those two regions beside nailbiter results. I suppose your idea of interesting might be three comfortable rightwing victories?

By my count both regions have 55-45 pro-Labor demographics at full turnout, but would be 50-50. In order to be nailbitters, some Laborites have to not vote, whilst all non-Laborites have to at least in the Midwest that is. As for the NE it is not quite to that extent, but the same is at play as well.

I count 12 and 17 max, which actually is not 45% but 40% of registered voters in both cases.

What would be more interesting is nail bitter sthat have staying power and those shifts after Spiral's victory would account for that as well as providing a base for a challenge to DC that would be 40% or higher.

TNF has won an absolute majority of the votes in the midwest, and if dead0man votes, then the midwest will have a turnout rate of 100%.

Neither statement is true.  TNF has 14 of 29 in region, and Grant also has not voted.

Here it is in color. These were easier to make when your predecessor was in office I must say. Tongue

You cannot ban editing votes because you cannot track within that first two minutes. It then becomes a case of seperate and unequal. Those who have fast connections can, those who don't cannot. Good to know the left is still sticking up for the poor and opposing discrimination. Tongue

You can't deregister within 24 hours of an election, so Velasco's attempt is not even valid.

Well, at least one act done in haste has been prevented tonight.

Lol, you cannot "encourage" yourself to do something. You do it or you don't. If "encouraging oneself" is outlawed, then "thinking"  or "reaching a conclusion" is effectively outlawed as well. And that's completely ridiculous. I agree that this is an unfortunate way to end an election, but come on. A person can do to their vote whatever they please.

Legally, I might agree with you if not for the definition of "encouragement" in the second clause that I quoted.

If that was the intent the legislature had, why didn't it just expressly outlaw the vote invalidation?  Why word it so awkwardly?  It's applying a technical reading of the statute that, when read with common sense, quite clearly does not make sense.

Plenty of Atlasian laws are worded awkwardly.

Thats because few of us are lawyers.
