For the next few weeks Gore ends up winning most of the states except Maine, Utah, California and Massachusetts.

In July 2004 Gore secures the nomination and keeps Vice President Reid as his running mate.  Bush, after a battle from McCain, ends up winning the Republican nomination.  He selects McCain as his running mate.

Poll:
Gore/Reid 54%
Bush/McCain 46%

After a few weeks Sharpton declares his interest in the Green Party's nomination.  Lieberman then decides he'll run as an Independent and selects Senator Diane Feinstein as his running mate.  Sharpton selects Ralph Nader as his running mate.

After all this, there's a big problem in Afghanistan.  The Taliban are winning.  President Gore decides to send more troops there.  After this Governor Howard Dean decides he'll run as an Independent too with Chuck Hagel as his running mate.

Poll:
Bush/McCain 40%
Gore/Reid 38%
Lieberman/Feinstein 10%
Sharpton/Nader 9%
Dean/Hagel 3%.

Gore urges some of his third party opponents to drop out so they don't take votes away from him.

Lieberman says he doesn't want to drop out.  Sharpton says he can't.  Dean considers it.

Howard Dean decides he will drop out because Sharpton has some of his ideas.  Dean then endorses Sharpton.  Gore is very upset with this endorsement.  Lieberman considers officially dropping out.  He says "I don't want to break up my party."  but he's still considering it.

Poll:
Gore/Reid 49%
Bush/McCain 40%
Lieberman/Feinstein 6%
Sharpton/Nader 5%.

After a few weeks, Lieberman decides to drop out and makes a bold move by endorsing Governor George W. Bush because of some of his conservative views.  This really causes Gore to lose momentum.

In October 2004 the October Surprise is that Ross Perot endorses President Gore and has all of his money invested in on Gore.  This helps Gore as alot of Perot's supporters then support Gore.  The election is close.

The Polls:

Gore/Reid 49%
Bush/McCain 43%
Sharpton/Nader 8%

Sharpton-0 EV's

Gore says "This has been an interesting race.  I can't wait to see the results tonight."

The polls close in Indiana:

Bush 56%
Gore 37%
Sharpton 7%

Election Results:  Bush wins.

Gore-red
Bush-blue
Sharpton-gray.

Gore says "wow I lost.  I concede the election to Governor George W. Bush."  In the Senate the balance is 66 Dems-36 Reps.

The House Results are 303 Dems (Dems get Puerto Rico's 3)-135 Reps.  Bush faces a Congress which won't always agree with him.

Bush is happy he won, he can't believe it.  Also, Bush decides to keep Powell as Secretary of State.  He appoints Alan Keyes as his Secretary of Defense.  He obviously isn't doing what his predecessor did as far as appointing Government positions to his former opponents.  Although, Gore says if Bush offers me a Cabinet Position I wouldn't take it, though.

Jan. 18th, 2005 President Gore issues a statement to the nation. "I wish all of u the best of luck in the future and thanks for choosing me as your President.  I felt honored."  "Thanks again!."

Bush then is inaugurated on January 20th, 2005.  Bush says "I plan to work well with the Democrats accross the aisle."

Bush, who can't touch the Stem Cell Act, decides to think about  banning the Gay Rights Act that Gore put into act.  Bush then decides to send 2 million soldiers over to Afghanistan for no apparent reason.  He then says "I sent them there to fight the terrorists."

Summer 2005 is the hottest summer ever.  so President Bush enacts the Air Conditioner Act which makes Air Conditioning lower in prices so people can have their air on alot during this tremendest summer.

In August 2005 Hurricane Katrina hits Louisiana.  Bush passes the Hurricane Act which requires aid for bad Hurricanes.  Later in 2005 Bush bans the Gay Rights Act saying that gays deserve equal rights.  This causes Bush to lose points in the polls.

2006 is coming.  Issues: gay rights, enviroment, Afghanistan.

2006 is an interesting year.  The Dems polls look good for the Senate and the House.

Jan. 2006  President Bush is hoping the November elections have some Republican victories.  Also that month Congress keeps the Gay Rights Act into law by orriding President Bush's veto of it.

Feb. 2006 President Bush takes Laura to England for a Valnetines weekend. While Congress is out of Session for it's Winter Recess Bush decides to pass a law that will ban gays in the military and ban their equal rights.  Democrats then call this "bad and horrible acts." Liberal Republicans are upset with this too.  President Bush decides to apologize and think about giving them their rights back.

Meanwhile, some Libertarians are doing well in the Senate polls.

Summer 2006 Democrats press Global Warming.  They urge Bush to get something going for this.  He decides it's the best thing to do as alot of people want this.  Congress brings forward the Global Warming Act which makes some federal money spent on fighting Global Warming.  It also says that if something happens to someone during this time like it getting to hot and harms people it will pay 20% of your doctor's bill.

President Bush's approval rating: 55%For.-44% Against-1% Undecided

August 2006 Bush decides to pull some troops from Afghanistan.  They are almost close at capturing Bin Laden.

October 2006: The soldiers capture Bin Laden and his help.  There's still some terrorists to get but they got the main guy.

November 2006 Republicans win some seats in this Congress.  Libertarians win some seats too.  The balance: Dems 61, Reps 38, Lib 3.  The Libertarians say they won't caucus with any certain party and vote the way they want to.

Bush says "We will have a Great Congress next time."  "I congratulate the 3 Libertarians who won the elections."
By the way the House vote is 245 Dems-191 Reps.

December 2006 Colin Powell says he will challenge Bush in the Republican Primaries for 2008.  Orrin Hatch announces later December he will run in 08 too.

January 2007 Hillary Clinton announces she will seek the Democratic nomination for President in 2008.  John Kerry also announces.  as does Barack Obama and former President Al Gore and former Vice-President Joseph Lieberman..

Yeah, It's getting pretty good. You have a HUGE slate of candidates going up for each nomination in the next election, so it means something juicy can happen!

February 2007 Bush now faces a Congress which is closer to a Republican majority than has ever been in his Presidency.  "I am excited about that."  says Bush.

Early February a bad tornado hits Florida.  Governor Crist declares a state of emergency.  President Bush decides to visit the site and see the damage.  He decides to change the Hurricane Act name to The Disaster Act to include tornadoes as well as hurricanes.  He asks Congress to accept the change.  They overwhemingly agree.  Powell then decides to drop out as Secretary of State so he can run for President.

May 2007 Bush urges all mothers a Happy Mother's Day.  Also that month he reinstitutes the Air Conditioner Act as it looks as we might have a hot summer.

Fall 2007 Bush decides to get ready for his Primary challenges from Powell and Hatch.

Iowa Polls: (Reps.)
Bush 55%
Powell 40%
Hatch 5%

On the Democratic side the voters are unsure if they want Gore as the nominee for the third time since he did so bad last time and they may want a new face.

Iowa (Dems) polls:

Kerry 45%
Clinton 30%
Gore  15%
Obama 8%
Lieberman 2%

The Republicans end up with a fighting battle for the nomination between Bush and Powell.  Hatch has by this time decided to drop out.  of course Powell only ends up winning S.C., FL, NH, MI, NY and CA.  Bush ends up winning the nomination again.  He decides to pick Colin Powell.  McCain is angered and decides to run as a third party candidate.  He picks Howard Dean as his running mate.

It's now Gore vs. Bush again.  plus McCain.

Polls:

Gore/Kerry 45%
Bush/Powell 40%
McCain/Dean 12%
Undecided 3%

The Republicans look like they could at least win the Senate.  The polls are: 55% Reps, 43% Dems, and 2% Lib.

McCain keeps gaining momentum in the polls.  He now has 18% in the polls.  The Reps are doing well in the polls because they helped capture Bin Laden.

McCain says he helped with that because he was part of the Bush Administration and this makes his numbers go up but Bush's go up to..

The Polls:
Bush/Powell 49%
McCain/Dean 31%
Gore/Kerry 20%

McCain and Dean say they can maybe win this thing.  but something surprising happens.

Dean makes a scream speech (like his real life "Iowa" speech. some of it is from the speech.)  He says "We're gonna go on and win this election.  We're gonna win Michigan, Washington and then we're going to Washington DC to take back the White House."

This scream makes McCain's numbers down.  Gore's numbers go out and Bush's go up too.

Polls:

Gore/Kerry 49%
Bush/Powell 49%
McCain/Dean 2% This was the September surprise.  now wait for the October surprise.

The October surprise is that McCain reminds everyone that he helped get Bin Laden.  Also he says that Republicans and Democrats have always taken away the airways from the third party candidates.  Dean apologizes for his scream.  he says that he was just very happy.  Everyone excepts and the polls look good for the McCain/Dean campaign.

The polls:
Gore/Kerry 56%
McCain/Dean 30%
Bush/Powell 14%

The Gore campaign and some of the McCain campaign attack Bush's drinking.  This makes Bush look bad.  Bush says "I had some bad times in the past but their behind me now.."  McCain says he never said any of it.  neither did Gore.  McCain and Gore then hire quick new workers.  The election is just a week away.

The polls:

Gore/Kerry 48%
McCain/Dean 46%
Bush/Powell 6%

Election Day is here:  Gore and McCain are close in the polls with Bush way behind.  The Republican party is split very badly.  at least in the Presidential election.  Although the Senate Polls show the Dems in the best way to win.  Reps are low.  Libertarians are doing well this election.  Libertarian Presidential Candidate Michael Badnarik is doing well in the polls.

The Polls::
McCain/Dean 46%
Gore/Kerry 40%
Badnarik/Campagna 10%
Bush/Powell 4%

Bush is horrified with the polls.  He hates them.

The election results start to come in............
Indiana goes to McCain.
Kentucky goes to McCain.
Florida goes to Gore.

Vermont goes to Gore
South Carolina barely goes to Bush.

NH goes to Gore..
Badnarik wins Maine and Massachusetts barely..

The next results will come real soon..  ok?

How do the Dems loose Massachussets, it's like one of their most solid states... How do the Libertarians jump from 0.something% in 2004 to over 10% overnight?
