Obviously a big story so far in trump's admin has been the leaks that have damaged his image and much of his credibility. Trump is not alone. Nixon was damaged and bill clinton in his early months had some leaks as well.

Is there anything a WH can do to control leaks without changing the policy that angers the leakers in the first place?

Please don't make this thread partisan. Leakers are important, but it's obvious any WH often once them contained.

Can trump try to employ plumbers like nixon did?

What would YOU do if you were hired by trump (for an impressive sum of money if you succeed) to stop the leaks?

I think the best strategy would be stop breaking the law. There would then be nothing to leak.

There's nothing you can do to control leaks. The only thing you can do is to make sure your White House runs well and has a strong team, goodwill with the party, and goodwill with the country. If you govern pretty openly, honestly, and you try to hold yourself to high standards, leaks don't really matter. Obama had leaks but nothing really damaging because Obama really generally was open with the country. Bush, similar, it's only when W screwed up Iraq and tried to spin it plus some other stuff that the leaks became damaging.

The problem with Trump, he's not an experienced politician. He's not able to do this because his team doesn't know how to serve him well, but he's the heart of the problem. He is dodgy, always paranoid, always making mistakes.

Leaks are part of a constitutional democracy and are a healthy valve to inform us of how well our leaders do. It's a good way to make sure our leaders are keeping the ship running well. Why would we want to discourage them?

These are from folks directly in the White House. He needs to fire a better staff, lol.

Can't tell if typo or not, but he would probably end up firing them, heh.
