I will be running for the Pacific Senate seat for the Liberal Party.

I am running for Mideast Assembly in the election this weekend, as a write-in candidate if necessary.

I am answering the call of the people and will seek the Federalist Party nomination for the Presidency of Atlasia, to save the Right from itself. I hereby declare my candidacy for President.

There's only one way to prevent this now: we need a new ticket. Another serious campaign that will upset the Generic Left vs Right nature of this race and have a realistic chance of winning. I don't know where such a ticket would come from, and I don't have anyone in particular in mind. Perhaps it could be from the "moderate" left, like the Liberal or Light parties. Maybe a center-right coalition between a Federalist and a moderate leftist. Or maybe an independent ticket. I'm not endorsing any specific possibility, but I am strongly urging anyone who thinks they could be a part of such a ticket to start exploring a run ASAP.

Culminating a long career as the region's Governor and regional Senator, I'm delighted to announce that I will be a candidate for the Pacific Council on Thursday's general election.

As a favour to my friend Snowstalker to help him fulfil the constitutional requirement, I will be a candidate for Vice-President as his running mate.

This is strictly a technicality as I will not be campaigning for the Left Front in any sense, and if elected I will under no circumstances serve as Vice-President. But the Constitution requires a running mate, and I am helping out Snowstalker.

Also, we need a communist revolution to smash the state.

After being informed that comrade Snowstalker has apparently talked with a less reluctant placeholder paper candidate in order to achieve ballot access, I am withdrawing from the ticket.

I will no longer be a candidate, nominally or otherwise, for Vice-President. Viva la revolution.

As I looked around in horror at the devastation of a dying nation, I realised that radical action is needed.

Thus, I am announcing my candidacy for President this October.

I look forward to a vigorous contest with the incumbent for the Federalist Party's nomination.
