I thought it was about time to start a presidential prediction thread, along the same lines and rules as my Senatorial predictions thread (which you can check out here: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=145000.0, hope you enjoy). The rules and disclaimers and such are found in that thread.

Without further ado, the first map, which shows Obama ahead, but by less than he won in 2012. Many states are quite close, particularly Ohio, which required a tiebreaker.

I'd flip Florida and NH, otherwise, I completely agree.

Probably a slightly worse map for the Republicans across the board - NH, AZ, NC probably flip to Obama, though OH might flip to Santorum. I won't make a map because, among other things, this thread is intended to be a collection of my predictions, so that afterwards I can read this and see how this race developed; I would also like Cory to delete his map, so that I won't be confused after the election.

If the election were held a month from now:

I think Obama wins aruond 55-44 nationally or something. The favourables are just awful for Mitt. Georgia and the mountain west are fools gold for the democrats, but Missouri and Arizona are not. A lack of enthusiasm in Indiana (particularly in the NW) should give it to Romney.

EDIT: I also think SC is in play. McCain was the only reason the republicans won it by a decent margin last time.

Obama wins nationally with 56-57% of the vote. Depressed Republican base, high minority turnout coupled with low turnout overall. Mittbot continues making gaffes and seeks to win over voters in every state by telling them their trees are the right height and asking crowds if their state's staple crop is an amber wave of grain.

My prediction: Obama will win in a landslide and I don't need a map to show it.  Romney will be lucky to win Texas at this rate.

Here's my current prediction maps, tho they aren't based on detailed state by state analysis.  I want some poll data not skewed by the fact we're still in primary season before doing that.

I actually guess it's OK now that like 15 people posted their own maps and I was unable to stop them...
