Is there still time for the LP to pick a new nominee?

Yes. The petitioning period to qualify for the November election hasn't even begun yet according to Ballot Access News. The obvious disappointment for the LP is their new nominee is not likely to poll the 50,000 votes required to perpetuate ballot status for another couple of election cycles like Weld probably would have. I guess they could always cross endorse another major party nominee but that might prove difficult given the remaining field.
