2% in the senate, Alameel leading 73-27
3% in for Lt. Gov., Patrick leading 64-36

keep in mind that these can't be called until at least 9 PM EST due to the fact that some polls in the westernmost reaches in TX don't close until then.

For the house, we've got 7% in in the fourth district, Ratcliffe ahead 52-48. 9% in in the 23rd district, Hurd ahead 57-43.  3% in the 36th district, Babin ahead 56-44.

No calls on anything yet, not even the state house races.

Politico's Results Page is here (House, Senate, Lt. Gov only): http://www.politico.com/2014-election/results/map/lieutenant-governor/texas/runoff/may-27/#.U4UvwIZBlBE

AP makes the call, Babin wins 58-42 with 100% in!

State House District 129 goes for Dennis Paul over Sheryl Berg, 52-48 with 100% in!

No call yet on State Senate District 2 - and it's clear why - it's 50-50 with 92% in.

^ Aren't the parts that are left in SD2 friendly to Bob Hall though? Should be enough to carry him.
Race is in recount territory right now. It's unclear if the uncounted vote will take it out of recount territory.

Bob Hall won the State Senate District 2 Runoff over Bob Deuell (inc.) by 300 votes. Apparently that's enough to take it out of recount territory, as AP has called the race for Hall!

Guide for Results Watching/A few predictions:

AL - There's one house primary that's worth your time (I think it's district 6), but other than that, don't waste your time watching this state.
CA - Gubernatorial Jungle Primary is worth your time. Brown will get the first GE slot, but the second is a toss-up between State Assemblyman Tim Donnelly and Financial Secretary Neil Kashkari. Swing U.S. House Districts with contested primaries include districts 7, 10, 21, 25, 26, 31, 36, and 52.
IA - Jacobs is the most electable candidate, but if polling is correct, Ernst will get the needed 35% of the vote to win the senate nomination on Tuesday (if no one ends up getting 35%, it goes to a convention). On the gubernatorial side, Branstad will win the republican nomination, but it'll be interesting to see the margin - Hoefling could end up getting less than 15%.
MS - I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Thomas Delay will get enough votes to force Cochran and McDaniel into a two week runoff campaign.
MT - Walsh should win the primary, but it should be fairly close - within 15 points and maybe even within 10.
NJ - Aside from the 3rd District House Primaries, this state isn't worth your time.
NM - The only thing worth your time is the democratic primary for Governor - which I think Att. General Gary King will win narrowly.
SD - Take a glance at the democratic primary for governor, but the republican senate primary isn't worth your time - Rounds should win the nomination easily.

Ernst is at 55% right now - she was polling at 36% - Either she won like every single undecided voter or there's a lot of bad counties for Ernst that haven't been counted yet (only 47% of the vote is in).

91% in MS, McDaniel leading 49.7 to 48.7.

Also, for those of you looking at the MT results, yes Walsh won the nomination, but he's most likely not going to be at 64% at night's end - the most left-leaning precincts always come in first in MT, and Bohlinger is a lot further to the right on the political spectrum than Walsh is.

First CA governor results in, big lead for Brown as expected, but Kashkari has an early 17-vote lead on Donnelly.

93% now in MS, McDaniel leading 49.7 to 48.7. Most of the counties with only partial results are going for Cochran, but a few are going for McDaniel. Still nothing in from Holmes or Covington though.

AOS project McDaniel 49.78%, Cochran 48.61%.
If that's true, that's called runoff territory.

Palazzo won 50-43 in MS-4.

Media reports that Covington potentially won't report: election commissioner was home in bed when reached.

Source? And what's the commissioner's excuse?

Can those be transferred over to AP/Politico/RCP or do we have to wait for the election commissioner to get up and report them to those organizations themselves?

96% now in MS, 49.5 to 49.0 with McDaniel ahead. 5 counties have partial results; Cochran is leading in 3 of them and McDaniel is leading in 2 of them. Nothing from Holmes, and so far Politico has not accepted the apparent Covingtong results.

Holmes poll workers are saying that they will keep working all night if necessary to report the results.
What's taking them so long? Polls closed four and a half hours ago...

Nobody is calling anything yet, but it looks good for a runoff. Cochran is winning in Jefferson, Warren, and Hinds county. Cochran is ahead in Rankin county, but it's very close and 68% of the vote is already in. Holmes still out but shouldn't be much of an influence on anything. Everything else is in.

Meant to write McDaniel, sorry.

McDaniel is ahead according to Politico with 68 percent in from Rankin.
If Carey voters go for him, sure.

False alarm, guys. Hernandez's lead is because of a counting error in CA-21.
Great. We've got one commissioner asleep, one commissioner sitting at their desk doing nothing (Holmes county in MS), and one commissioner that can't report votes correctly.

I wouldn't expect to see the remaining vote come in until at least about 6 hours from now if not even more than that. It'll probably go to a runoff, but who knows?

With that, I'm done updating for the night. Sweet Nightmares to all.
