The funny thing is that I think he has a better shot at beating Allen for Pres. in VA than he does for the Senate.

There was some polling that pointed to that as well.  Wonder why that its?

In Rasmussen polls, Allen leads Warner 47-43 for the Senate and Warner leads Allen 46-41 for the presidency.

My theory? Virginians like Allen personally but don't trust him as much in an executive position. Warner has been more successful as governor than Allen was.
