Lately there have been some serious discussions worth looking at. For example, Phil v. Flyers (PA-13) J.J. v. jfern (940 tails/60 heads), [/i]KillerPollo v. Canada[/i] And now, KillerPollo v. CheeseWhiz (America)

What will be next?

Australia's a great place!  Not sure if it's better than America politically, (don't know much about Australian politics,) but I think it's a better place to live in terms of beauty Smiley

economically more right, socially generally more left, although Howard's pretty conservative; not religious, constitutional monarchy, very much a nation of hand u[p not hand out; we have strong and worthwhile social programmes but it's not like Germany or Sweden. Not flawless, but politically better then America imho, if less interesting for an american Wink

i should say thast when I say 'economically more right', I mean the center of the population. In terms of actual policy, we're to the left of the USA, but that's probably going to change if Howard's radically right-wing 'workplace reforms' pass. They're just so totally sh**t,. And in an (unsuccessful) attempt to convince the voters otherwise, the government is spending hundreds of millions of ads for the reforms, on tv, radio, the net, papers...it's sickening. One of the worst things about Aussie politics is the government advertising, from taxpayers dollars. It's always pro-government, and often anti-opposition, but disguised as 'informing the general population of important policies'. There is one ad, 90 seconds long, that spends the first 40-50 seconds saying how good the economy is, and ho much better it is then 10 years ago, when the ALP was last in government. This is true, but much of the current economic success is because of reforms the ALP government introduced Tongue

I HATE Howard, he's a little sh**t of a man. This industrial relations stuff seems to be his coup de grace; his final act before stepping aside. He's wanted it for 40 years; to make the Australian workplace more like the American, and no offence, but that's totally a step in the wrong direction. He is the only western politician who I truly wouldn't mind being assasinated. I'd be more irritated if Bush was then Howard, by a mile. Howard has basically no redeeming qualities.
