Nothing and unless he dies on stage no one will remember this after two days.

Purge the bedwetters. Imagine being such a pussy you get scared of a chatbot.

A chatbot? Give it a few years and it will decide if you qualify for a mortgage, how you should be paid, whether you get a job or whether you did commit a crime. It will decide your life for you, and you will have no recourse, even if it wrong or mistaken.

A lot of dumb people still don't realize how many aspects of our lives are going to have chatbots forced into them. People like Sam Altman dream of a future in which all big decisions are made "perfectly" by his chatbot that thinks it's safe to cook eggs in the microwave. And you're right, they want it involved in law enforcement too. Google the wrong thing and all of a sudden the computer decides you should be on the no fly list.

I'm curious, what makes folks here choose NZ over Australia? Aside from the language thing, there doesn't seem to be much to suggest one over the other -- NZ has a cooler climate but it also seems to be pretty different qualitatively from the UK.

This may not really be meaningful, but I've been watching Taskmaster recently and I've been struck by the sheer number of people from the Antipodes on there; it seems like the U.K. entertainment industry might be a draw in the same way that ambitious Canadians (and people from everywhere else ofc) go to Hollywood.

Greene and Crockett should have been ejected from the Committee. arguably AOC as well. Why were they not?

Speaking of which, does anyone have any information on how Cate Blanchett feels about Morfydd Clark playing her character?  We know Morfydd (who was only 12 or 13 when the original LOTR trilogy came out) looks upon Cate much like we do -as a fan looking upon a distant star.  I think she mentioned she felt (and I think still feels) too intimidated and starstruck to talk to Cate directly.

If Trump is doing this then perhaps Biden should hold an event in West Virginia. Couldn't hurt.

But the true equivalent of this would be him doing a rally in southern WV. I don't think Biden would get the huge influx of attendees from more liberal parts of the state to cover up the negative reception he would get in Mingo county.
He could go to Morgantown or Charleston.

Trump will never accept that nor will the party. They will stand behind him even if convicted.

Most “Christian” schools in the south were founded by wealthy whites to keep their kids away from black.

I know most of my aunts/uncles were sent to one for that exact reason when schools were forced to integrate. Even while the school was 30-40 minutes away.

As the article said, they are usually worse than public schools. I got a much better education at a public school then when I was at a private “Christian” one, which is saying a lot for the rural south.

Are these schools as academically rigorous as the Catholic Prep Schools, the mainline protestant schools, and the old old school elite academies ?

To give you some perspective, most of these are extremely unregulated. I had a math teacher who was just some person they found and I had a quiz that about half of the test was extra credit nonsense questions cause she knew she taught so poorly.  She had to prior experience or training as a teacher.

I agree it would be amazing; greed is a massive idol in this country and nobody seriously questions it. Who among us could be the widow giving her entire livelihood? Certainly not I.

I bring it up because by the standards of the FB post Lyndon shared he would be forced to also condemn that message, as it is telling others how to live (or I suppose, "controlling" them). If that was his point, he did not communicate it well. Wink

If they start putting their money where their mouth is (like they do decades now with abortion and gay rights) then we'll see.

Also, LOL at the idea that this guy is "communicating Christian teachings." If this greedy, good for nothing, brain-dead whoremonger is representative of Christianity then that religion will be dead soon in this country.
