As someone who's not particularly into sports, I don't care what our official sport is.   I will sign the bill if passed.

This proposal was first made in my November campaign during a stop in Lake Placid.

I wrote winter sports because I didn't want to hurt sports diversity of the region. There is less competition for official winter sport than for all sport. The advantage of writing winter is you can get a summer one too and this way please more people.

In my personal opinion, I don't mind the proposal for official sport (no season). It depends what my fellow representatives think.
